William Bojan, Sr. Obituary

William “Bill” Bojan Sr (age 85) passed away peacefully at his home in Trout Valley, IL on July 27th 2021 after a short illness.

William was the son of Gregory and Anne Bojan.  He was born February 23, 1936 in Chicago, IL

William is survived by the love of his life of over 60 years, Maureen E (Heyl) Bojan, whom he married October 1st, 1960.

He is also survived by his four children; Cathy (Clark) Sauberan, Teri (Art) Detommasi, William (Justine) Bojan Jr. , and Mari Bojan.; five grandchildren Matthew Starr, Michael Starr, Katelyn Klimstra, Alex Whelan, and Brian Bojan and two great grandchildren Charley Bojan and Sophie Klimstra.  He will also be greatly missed by his beloved canine girls, Gracie and Holly.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Gregory Bojan and James Bojan.

Bill was a loving husband, wonderful father, fun loving grandpa, and proud great grandfather.

In addition to his family, most important to him was his faith.  He was a die hard Cubs fan and greatly enjoyed the 2016 World Series!

Bill served six years in the Army National Guard and spent six and a half special years with the Oblates in Belleville, IL.

He served his community with St. Vincent DePaul Society, six years as president.  He enjoyed volunteering and mentoring at CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate).  He also served on the Trout Valley Association, two years as President.   Bill was a leader and mentor to many.  He owned his own business until his retirement.

Bill did everything with gusto!   He built a successful insurance agency; spent much time with family and friends; and touched the lives of all who knew him with character and integrity.  His family had many great adventures with him.  We will miss his Gregorian chants, laughter, hugs, his love, and all the fun adventures with him.
