Wayne J. Siatt, age 76, of Downers Grove, IL, passed away on June 16, 2026.

In the words of Albert Pine, "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." The sentiment rings true as we remember the life of Wayne J. Siatt, a humble, smart, ambitious, and creative soul, born July 15, 1949 in Chicago, IL, USA. Wayne, or "Wyane" as he was also affectionately known, was a man of many interests and talents, a beacon of light that shone brightly in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him.

A gifted journalist, Wayne spent an illustrious 50-year career writing and editing, a testament to his intelligence, creativity and unflinching dedication. He possessed an uncanny ability to captivate readers, drawing them into the stories he so expertly crafted. His work reflected his diverse interests, from his love of music to his fascination with the mysteries of Sherlock Holmes. His accolades include editing books and movies, and his contributions to the field of journalism have left a lasting legacy.

Wayne's life was enriched by the simple pleasures. He cherished good food, a fine cigar, the company of friends, and the warmth of a good joke. His hobbies were as varied as his interests, including coin collecting, music and Star Trek. His love of movie posters was part of his vast collection of memorabilia, showcasing his deep appreciation for the arts. His beloved pet dog, Twinkle, was a constant companion and source of joy.
