Valerie G. Rogers, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024 at the age of 85. Born on June 20, 1938, in Chicago, IL, Valerie's life was a testament to her funny, adventurous, and spirited nature, traits that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Valerie spent the vast majority of her life in Chicago, where she met and married the love of her life, the late Walter Rogers. Survived by their 2 children Steve W. (Carole) Rogers and Kathleen A. Rogers (Richard Fenske); 8 grandchildren, Nicole Tudisco, Fred M. Raddatz, Katherine Carr, Richard Raddatz, and Stephanie  Bonner, Michael Rogers, Jennifer Acosta, Colleen Rogers and her 7 adored great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jorge, Gerard Jr., Gianna, Amelia, Noah and Jelani. Fond sister of the late Dennis Flanagan.
Valerie loved to attend all family gatherings and celebrations to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed attending plays, musicals, and outdoor festivals throughout the Chicagoland area and was a loyal Cubs and Bears fan.
As we say goodbye to Valerie, her legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will continue to live on through the stories and memories shared by her family and will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved her.
