Timothy Scott Misner, age 60, of Fox River Grove, IL, passed away on November 22, 2025. He was born April 9, 1965 in Huntington, WV to his loving parents, Theodore and Hettie (née Lavada) Misner.

A proud graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Tim’s time in Athens, OH was marked by more than academic achievement — it’s where he met the love of his life, Diana, in Shively Hall. That serendipitous meeting led to nearly 30 years of marriage, filled with laughter, love, and unwavering partnership.

Known for his incredible sense of humor, Tim had a gift for making people laugh — whether through a quick-witted remark or one of his legendary stories. With each retelling, the details grew more colorful and the room more joyful. His stories weren’t just entertaining; they were acts of connection, bringing people together and leaving lasting memories.

Tim’s generosity was boundless. He was endlessly supportive of those he loved, always ready to lend a hand, share a kind word, or simply listen. His presence made others feel seen, valued, and cared for.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy of laughter and kindness will continue to echo through the lives he touched.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Alicia Layne. He is survived by his wife, Diana Misner; siblings, Mary Thompson and Michael Misner; cousins, Jody Gue and Catherine Ferguson; nieces, Katelyn Thompson and Victoria Misner; and nephews, Tyler Layne, Jesse Layne, Nick Thompson, Zach Thompson, Nathan Thompson, and Ethan Cron.

Visitation will be 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with funeral service at 7:00pm, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary, IL 60013.

Interment will be private.
