Rosemary (Pokorny) McGraw, more affectionately known as Noni, age 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3rd.
Rosemary was born to Rose & Joseph Pokorny on February 02,1925 in Cary, IL and was a lifelong parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Church. She married William McGraw in 1966 and then resided with him in Fox River Grove, IL.
Caregiving defined her. Rosemary was a retired nurse working in hospitals, Dr. Copeland’s office and finally in Cary public schools. She spent countless hours taking care of family and friends well past retirement.
Noni was loved by all, but mostly by her countless nieces and nephews. Her candy dish was always full! She was the oldest daughter of 11 children; preceded in death by Charlie, Margaret, Freddie, Joe, Francis, and George; survived by Sister Mary O.P., Eddie, Clara and Judy.
Noni lived a full life, and enjoyed the Cubs, praying the rosary and a good martini… in no particular order. She was a devoted Catholic who took pride in, and loved, her large family. Praise the Lord Noni! Spanem Bohem!
There will be a visitation for Rosemary on Friday September 9, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, Cary. Funeral Mass Saturday, September 10th at 10:30 AM at Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 410 First St., Cary and followed by burial at St. John Nepomucene Cemetery
