Rita Christine Kreutzer, age 60 of Cary, passed away March 29, 2022 at her home. She was born November 30, 1961 in DesPlaines, IL. The daughter of Kenneth Walter and Rita (Delaney) Meyers, they precede her in death.
Rita is survived by her husband Donald J. Kreutzer, her children: David Jurak, Joshua Jurak, Kyle Kreutzer, Billi Jo Kreutzer and Amanda Kreutzer, her siblings: Paul (Nancy) Meyers, Mary (William) Figeas, Anne (James) Meyers-Mika, Patty (James) Meyers-Kita, Catherine (Craig Rickle) Meyers and Peter (Debbie) Meyers as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Rita worked as a laboratory scientist at Baxter International Inc. for many years, and then she continued her career managing laboratories at local community colleges in both McHenry and Cook Counties. A busy multi-tasking mom, she always made time for soccer practice, birthday parties, Boy Scout field trips, as well as lab meetings and seminars for the office. More recently, she had devoted much time to working with special education students at several local primary and secondary schools in the Cary area. She was the youngest of seven children, and learned early in life to share her energy, enthusiasm and radiant smile with all who knew and loved her.
There will be a visitation for Rita on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass for Rita will be offered at 10:30 AM, Monday April 4th at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 First St., Cary and followed with interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rita can be made to the ALS Association. https://www.als.org
