Richard “Dick” Balling, 75, beloved husband of Sue Ryan. Loving father of Michael (Hannah) and Kevin. Proud grandpa to Chloe, Graham, and a granddaughter due in January. Brother of Robert (Diane). Brother-in-law to Tom Ryan (Sonia Lingner); Gary, Julie, and Patrick Ryan, Maureen (Gary) Lee, Laurel (Rich) Makula, Roberta (George) Mazurek. Uncle and great-uncle to many.  He will be missed by family and his many friends as well. Dick retired from Signode Corp. after many years of service as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. He and Sue have enjoyed fostering many cats and kittens over the past 28 years, and family would appreciate donations in his honor to the expansion project fund at Helping Paws Animal Shelter, Woodstock, IL.
