Ralph Stalesky Obituary

Ralph Stalesky, 84, of Woodstock, IL passed away on July 7th, 2022. He was the loving husband of Donna Stalesky and they shared the special journey of 54 years of marriage together.

Born in Chicago, he was the son of Henry and Henrietta Stalesky and brother of Hank Stalesky. He graduated from high school, proudly served two terms in the United States Army during the Korean War and went on to pursue his career in management of the automotive industry where he built an honorable and respectable reputation.

Ralph dedicated his life to the well being of his family. Although he was a sometimes known as a man of mystery and few words, it was always crystal clear how much he loved, protected and provided for his loved ones. He was a man of strength, intelligence and always had the best interest for his family. He worked hard and never complained. He helped others but never kept a tab or asked for anything in return. He was honorable yet never desired recognition.

Ralph enjoyed all things automotive including attending auto auctions. He loved NASCAR and once had the the experience of driving an Indy Style race car 8 laps at the Chicago Speedway topping out at 159.15mph. He was well traveled and worldly, enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, spending time with his sons, watching his grandchildren play sports, taking car of his beloved cats, and working in his beautifully maintained yard in which he transformed into a sanctuary for his family to make many memories in. Most of all, he loved and adored his wife beyond measure.

His wife Donna, his sons Jeffrey, Jimmy, Ralph and their spouses, his many grandchildren and his great grandchildren will always remember and hold a very special place in their hearts for Ralph and smile whenever they hear the B52’s “Love Shack” on the radio. The family will have a private memorial in honor of Ralph and ask in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Helping Paws Animal Shelter via check at 2500 Harding Lane, Woodstock IL 60098.
