Mary Jobst Obituary


Mary K. Jobst, age 65 of Cary, passed away at home on Sunday, August 22, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was born August 9th, 1956 in Chester, PA to Lucille (nee Miller) and Mel Clarke. 

 

Mary is survived by her beloved husband for over 40 years, John Jobst, whom she married on November 27, 1981. 

 

She is also survived by her children: Jackie (Mike) Zimmermann and Jacob (Hannah) Jobst and her granddaughter, Madison Zimmermann. Also, her sister, Marcia (Mike) Harp; her brother, John (JoAnn) Clarke and many nieces and nephews. 

 

Mary graduated from Hersey High School in Arlington Heights (Class of 1974) and went on to get an Associate’s degree. Her first job was with the Law Firm Isham, Lincoln & Beale where she worked for 10 years. She enjoyed a very successful 25-year career at Northwest Community Hospital as a registrar in the emergency room. She also worked for 35 years as a personal assistant for her close confidant and mentor, Dick Mize. More than anything, Mary loved her family. 

 

Mary had a great love for shopping, sweets, coffee, ice cream, tennis, hiking, her faith and her beloved granddaughter, Madison. Her sense of humor was immeasurable as well as her generous and kind spirit and giant heart. She will be missed by many. 

 

There will be a visitation for Mary on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.  Funeral Mass for Mary will be offered on Saturday, August 28th at 10:00 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 First St., Cary and will be followed by interment at Windridge Memorial Park.

Masks will be required for those attending Mary's visitation and funeral mass.
