Marcia Jacqulyne Howe

Marcia Jacqulyne Howe, age 77, affectionately known as “Marty”, passed away on July 7, 2026.

Born on August 15, 1948, in Greece, Marcia spent part of her childhood in an orphanage before being adopted at the age of nine and beginning a new life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her remarkable journey was one of resilience, courage, and determination - qualities that remained with her throughout her life.

Marcia spent many years in Fox River Grove, where she raised her three daughters, Kathy, Lisa, and Michelle, and became a familiar face throughout the community. During her years as a bank teller and Avon Lady, she formed lasting friendships with countless people. Wherever she went, there was usually someone who knew her. With her warm smile, quick wit, and genuine kindness, she had a way of making people laugh and brightening their day.

Marcia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, gardening, and crocheting. She was a proud Master Gardener. She adored Snoopy, loved her bright yellow Volkswagen Beetle, and had a special place in her heart for animals, and the many beloved pets who were part of her family throughout the years.

Above all, Marcia’s greatest joy was her family and friends. She was married to her beloved husband, Fred, for 28 years before his passing, and they are now reunited. Her three daughters were her greatest pride and joy, and she loved them with all her heart. She also cherished her sisters, nephews, extended family and many dear friends. Her legacy of resilience, laughter, kindness, and unconditional love will live on through them and through everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Thursday, July 16, 2026, and from 11:00am until funeral service at 12:00pm, Friday, July 17, 2026, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary, IL 60013.

Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery, 700 Block W. Jackson Street, Woodstock, IL 60098.
