Lloyd B. Nichols, age 81, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Monday April 7th, 2020 in the home he restored himself almost 40 years ago. He was born December 14th, 1938 to Zola and Willie Nichols.
Lloyd is survived by his son William and his children Will, Julia, and Mae; his daughter Christina Diaz (Nichols) and her husband Jose Diaz as well their children Kellen and Rhiannon; son Jim; and many other family and friends.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife Donna, which was extremely difficult for him. He is also preceded in death by his sister Veda Plummer (Nichols), brothers Kenneth and Delmar, and his parents Zola and Willie.
He spent his life in various roles from the US Navy, to carpenter, to builder, to welder, to handy man, and engineering. His life and efforts were dedicated to his wife and children and making sure they had all the toys and things they wanted and needed while he sacrificed his own wants in a lot of cases. He was able to fix and teach how to fix almost anything and enjoyed doing so. He was more caring and giving to others than people knew or expected.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Windridge Memorial Park on August 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
