Linda Lowe Obituary

Born: May 23, 1952 in Chicago, IL., Died: May 3, 2021 in McHenry, IL. Linda Lowe, 68 of Cary, IL. passed away, unexpectedly, in McHenry Hospital (Northwestern Medicine) with her loving husband holding her hand by her side. Linda was the daughter of John and Virginia Larsen. Linda grew up in Palatine, IL. She graduated from Fremd High School in 1970. She later received her Bachelor’s Degree in education from Northern Illinois University in 1974, followed by receipt of two Master’s Degrees from National Louis University. Linda taught for four years in Schaumburg School Dist. 54. Linda also taught kindergarten and 1st. grade for 21 years in Cary School Dist. 26. However, her most important career was being a mother to David and Laura. Raising them brought her great joy and much happiness. Linda loved planting all different kinds of flowers and, of course, working in her garden she loved so very much. Linda was also a wonderful cook and loved hosting family and friend gatherings. Linda was a very kind, sweet, and generous lady. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Linda married Robert A. Lowe of Cary on July 11, 2008. Linda and Bob enjoyed their road trips to Wisconsin and Michigan. They also looked forward to attending Raue Center events, movies, and spending time with friends and family as well as dining out at different restaurants. Linda is survived by her loving husband Bob, her children Laura (Rob) Masson, David (Jen) Simandl, and stepson Anthony Lowe. Brothers John Larsen and Mark (Diane) Larsen. Proud grandmother of: Oliver, Alice, Virginia, Breanna, Anthony, Christopher, and Eva. Niece Valerie Larsen. Linda was proceeded in death by her parents John and Virginia Larsen and her infant sister Judy. A visitation for Linda will be at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd. Cary, IL at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 8, 2021. A service will follow, with interment at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd. in Cary, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chicago Botanic Gardens, Northern Illinois Food Bank, The Red Cross or The Salvation Army.
