It is with great sadness and respect for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Linda Chrysler, who left us on August 31, 2026 at the age of 83. Born Linda Palmer on November 13, 1942, in Berwyn, IL, Linda was a beacon of strength, compassion, and grace to her family, friends, and community in Ottawa, Illinois, touching countless lives with her kindness and generosity.
Linda's legacy is marked by her dedication to service. Throughout her life, she volunteered with various organizations, pouring her heart into making the world a better place.
Linda's love story with her late husband, Richard Chrysler, whom she married on February 9, 1963, was a beautiful testament to commitment and love. She is survived by her children, Kayly (David) Brobston, Craig Chrysler, and Tracy (Peter) Henke. She was a cherished grandmother to Conor (Holly) Brobston, Nicole (Travis) Cook, Matthew Chrysler, Cherolyn Henke, and Kole Henke; and a proud great-grandmother to Gordon Cook. Linda is also survived by her brother, Jerome (Petra) Palmer. Her unwavering love, guidance, and wisdom will forever resonate in their hearts.
She now joins in eternal rest her beloved husband, Richard; her parents, Frank and Caroline (née Eastman) Palmer; and her sister, Cheryl Palmer. As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate a life that was well lived.
Please join us in celebrating Linda's life. We encourage you to share your stories, memories, and photos of Linda on her memorial page. Each memory shared will serve as a comforting reminder of the incredible woman Linda was, preserving her legacy for generations to come.
Richard and Linda Chrysler will be interred together at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421, on November 13, 2026 at 12:00 PM. All that would like to attend are welcome.
Final arrangements entrusted to Kahle-Moore Funeral Home.
