Jeffrey Johnson, fondly known as JJ to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024, at the age of 58 in Park Ridge, Illinois. Born on October 11, 1965, in Elgin, Illinois, JJ lived a life marked by kindness, love, and thoughtfulness, touching the lives of all who knew him. JJ was a proud graduate of his local high school, where he formed many lifelong friendships and developed values that would guide him throughout his life. After graduation, he dedicated himself to his work as a construction worker. His colleagues remember him not only for his skilled craftsmanship but also for his ability to brighten the workday with his cheerful disposition and his readiness to lend a helping hand. JJ was a passionate White Sox fan, never missing a game and always ready to discuss the latest play or score. His love for fishing provided him with a peaceful escape and countless joyful memories by the water, often accompanied by close friends and family. JJ also found solace and entertainment in the world of computer games. JJ's loving nature was perhaps most evident in his interactions with his family. He is survived by his devoted mother, Eleanor Stegman; his brother, Jimmy Johnson; his sister, Judy Dolan, and her husband, Bill Dolan; his sister, Audrey Stegman; and his cherished niece, Danielle Stegman. His thoughtful gestures, whether big or small, were a constant reminder of the kind of person he was—one who always put the needs of others before his own. JJ's memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to experience his loving spirit. In honoring JJ's life, we acknowledge the void that his departure has left in our hearts.  JJ's journey may have come to an end, but the memories of his kindness and generosity will continue to inspire us for years to come
