Jeanne Josephine Schuetzle

Jeanne Josephine Tibodeau Schuetzle, age 92, of Cary, IL, passed away on August 6, 2026. She was born at home on July 26, 1934 in Brush Creek, MN to her loving parents, Kenneth and Mildred (née Willette) Tibodeau, the oldest of 4 children.

Jeanne graduated from Good Council High School as a boarding student in 1952 and then attended DeLyles Beauty School in 1953. After graduating, she moved to the Twin Cities to work. She met her future husband, Larry Schuetzle, and was married in 1958.

After their marriage, Jeanne and Larry moved to Chicago. She started working in a beauty shop, and after becoming a mom to two children, continued to work part-time. In 1968, the family moved Cary, IL. Jeanne had a beauty shop in the basement of their home where she continued to work until her retirement.

Jeanne was the wife and mom who volunteered and supported all the activities that were important to her family. She was a Girl Scout leader, band parent, PTA member, concession stand worker for Little League, and an active Cary-Grove Booster. She went to all the games her son played for various sports. She was member of the Women’s group at Cary United Methodist church, a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America, and supported her husband in the various groups and activities that he participated and led.

Jeanne and her husband enjoyed socializing with the “Dinner Club,” a group of eight couples who became lifelong friends. After retirement, she and Larry enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, cruising to Alaska and New England, as well as road trips to Florida to visit friends and get away from the cold.

Jeanne was grandma to Hannah, Sarah and Jackson Schuetzle and enjoyed attending all their school activities and sporting events until her health made it too challenging to attend.

For the last 10+ years, Jeanne has lived at Three Oaks Assisted Living in Cary. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Larry; parents, Mildred and Kenneth Tibodeau; sister, Shirley Baker; brothers, Allen and Jim Tibodea; and many friends. She is survived by her daughter, Lorie Schuetzle (Coon Rapids, MN); son, Ralph (Amanda); and her grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah (Crystal Lake) and Jackson (Boston, MA), as well as her nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Friday, August 28, 2026, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary, IL 60013.

Mass will be at 10:00am, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 N. First Street, Cary, IL 60013.

Interment to follow at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Road, Cary, IL 60013.
