Jean (Dolores) (Coffey) Hargrove

Jean (Delores) Hargrove, age 90 of Cary, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2022.  She was born on July 21, 1932 to Albert and Holly Coffey in Matoon, IL.  Jean is survived by her children, Rick (the late Deb) Hargrove, Tim (Pam) Hargrove, Sherry (Jeff) Macko, Debby (Todd) Lindsten, and Wes (Mary) Hargrove, her grandchildren: Jennie Hargrove, Steve Hargrove, Amy (Brian) Tamason, Gage (Val) Lindsten, Kayla (Jeff) Peterson, Ian Hargrove, Evan (Helen) Hargrove, Cory Hargrove, Alec Hargrove, Colleen (Josh) Conway, Paige (Kyle) Wilton, Gabbi Hargrove, her great grandchildren: Brayden, Dylan, Loralye and Emily, as well as their former foreign exchange student Scott Ross of Sydney, Australia. 

She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Wiley Wesley Hargrove, her parents Albert and Holly Coffey, her sister Karen, and infant daughter Christin Gay. 

Jean was passionate about her family, gardening, painting, and the Lakota Indians. Her and her late husband shared the love of remodeling homes together and sharing their joy with small towns in Illinois by ways of an Ice Cream and Antique Shop, a Santa House, and just generally helping those in need.  In later life, she enjoyed her local woman’s clubs and the friendships she made in them. 

 Services will be private for the family.
