Jason Thomas Hodgson, age 49, of Cary, IL, passed away on October 10, 2025. He was born December 7, 1975 in Woodstock, IL to his loving parents, Tom and Barb (née Narowetz) Hodgson.

Born with a deep love for music, cooking, and the great outdoors, Jason found joy in life through his generosity and simple moments – whether listening to music by a campfire, camping in the woods, or spending time fishing. His outdoor and animal-loving spirit made him a friend to many. Jason also made lasting relationships through his career in the building material industry.

Jason is survived by his loving parents, Tom and Barb Hodgson; his brother, Jake (Heather) Hodgson; and his cherished nephew and niece, Zack and Halle. Previously departed loved ones include his paternal grandparents, Ted and Joann Lachman, and Leonard Hodgson; and maternal grandparents, Frank and Jean Narowetz.

A private family service will be held to celebrate Jason’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends to honor his memory by spending time in nature or sharing music with those they love – just as Jason always did.
