Janet Frenzer Obituary

Janet E. Frenzer, a cherished matriarch, and pillar of her community, passed away peacefully in Cary, IL, at the age of 91. Born on September 4, 1932, in Evanston, IL, Janet lived a life marked by kindness, friendliness, and a sharp wit that brought laughter to all who knew her.

Janet was the loving heart of a blended family, a testament to her capacity for love and acceptance. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Al Frenzer and Daniel Koelling. Her legacy continues through her daughters, Susan (David, deceased) Niemiec of Cary, IL, and Wendy (Robert) Hendrickson of Hannibal, MO; her stepsons, Timothy (Catherine) Frenzer and Michael (Barbara) Frenzer; along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

Her grandsons David Niemiec, Jr., Joseph (Melissa) Niemiec, Jeromy (Shannon) Miceli, and Jack (Kristina) Miceli, alongside her daughter-in-law Brenda Miceli, held a special place in her heart. Janet's love extended to her step-grandchildren, April Hendrickson, Meagan Frenzer, Caitlin (Jordan) Cray, Elizabeth Frenzer, Patrick Frenzer, and Steven (Anne-Marie) Frenzer, who will remember her fondly. The youngest generation, her great-grandchildren Lucy, Fiona, Maisie, Troy, Kiley, Nathan, Patrick and Tessa, will grow up hearing stories of their great-grandmother's warmth and spirit.

Janet's professional life was characterized by dedication and service. After a fulfilling career with Wahl Jewelry and Zukley Jewelry, she retired after working several positions for the Secretary of State of Illinois. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on her colleagues and those she served.

Beyond her professional life, Janet was deeply committed to volunteerism. She gave her time generously to her church and various community organizations, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Her altruistic nature was an inspiration, showing by example the importance of giving back to the community.

Janet's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. An avid camper and fisher, she found solace and joy in the great outdoors. Her sewing skills were legendary, especially known for creating beautiful Christmas stockings for her family. This tradition became a treasured part of her family's heritage, continuing with each new addition. Janet's love of spending time with family and friends was evident in the close-knit relationships she nurtured throughout her life.

The final years of Janet's life were spent at Three Oaks Assisted Living, where she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the friendships she cultivated and the compassionate care she received from the staff. Her presence there was a blessing to many, and her absence will be deeply felt.

Janet's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and service. Those who knew her will remember her kind spirit, her readiness to engage in friendly conversation, and her sense of humor that could lighten the heaviest of hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of love, a family fortified by her strength, and a community enriched by her contributions.

As we bid farewell to Janet E. Frenzer, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the memories we cherish and in the lives she so positively impacted.
