James Allan McNutt

 

    Our beloved James A. McNutt, 65, of Fox River Grove, passed away suddenly March 5, 2023, at his home. He was born September 20, 1957, in Chicago, the son of William D McNutt, Sr. and Marvel (Rowney) McNutt. Jim graduated from Maine West High School – class of 1975. Following graduation, he attended Northern Illinois University and Columbia College of Missouri and pursued a career in Accounting. Jim married Shirley White March 9, 1996, and they settled in Fox River Grove. Jim served on the Boards of the Fox River Grove Memorial Library, the Parks Commission of the Village of Fox River Grove, the McHenry County Planning Commission 2030, and was involved in several charitable organizations. He was predeceased by his mother, the late Marvel. Surviving in addition to his wife Shirley (White) McNutt, are his father William D. McNutt, Sr. of Des Plaines, brother William (Bill) D. McNutt, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Algonquin, several nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee, 310 E Main Street East Dundee, IL 60118. Visitation 10-11; Service 11:00 to 12:00 noon.
