James W. Livingston

James W Livingston of Oakwood Hills passed away on May 1st, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born January 13th, 1952 in Elmhurst, IL., he is preceded in death by his mother Carol, his father James, and his sister Lori.

He was survived by his wife Mary, his sons James “Matt” (Jessica), Drew (Jami), Nathan, and Taylor (Chloe), his two grandchildren Maxwell and August (with another on the way), and his siblings Candy (Glenn) Geiselhart, Kent (Pam) Livingston, Heather (Dan) Martinello, and Brett (Suzanne) Livingston.

Jim was a designer, specializing in custom kitchen and baths, and was known far and wide for his signature style. Livingston kitchens, the company he and Mary started, is responsible for some of the most beautiful interior design work throughout the Chicagoland area and across the country. Jim loved fishing or just hanging out with his family and friends  "down by the lake", he also loved golf, cooking or playing, collecting, and building guitars.

Memorial visitation will be held at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd. Cary, IL on May 13th beginning at 2PM, concluding with a memorial service at 4PM.  In lieu of flowers memorials in Jim's name would be appreciated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
