Jacquelyn Dinkelacker, age 90 of Cary, passed away on January 2nd, 2022. She was born January 7th, 1931 in Tovey, IL. Her husband, Harry Dinkelacker, and daughter, Karen L’Heureux, preceded her in death. Jacquelyn (Jackie) is survived by her son Paul (Nicole) Dinkelacker, son-in-law Tom L’Heureux, and grandchildren Jonathon Dinkelacker, Alexander Dinkelacker, and Emily L’Heureux.
Although originally from central Illinois, Jackie’s family moved to Chicago where she eventually met her husband Harry at church. Harry and Jackie were married in 1953 and moved to Cary after their second child Karen was born.
Jackie was well known in the area as a church vocalist. Many Cary residents may also remember her long tenure singing God Bless America at Cary’s annual Memorial Day event held at Veterans Park. Jackie was also a master gardener. She would spend hours in her flower garden and would often provide floral arrangements to various churches and friends.
There will be a visitation for Jackie on Friday, January 7th, 2022 from 9am – 11am at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home located at 403 Silver Lake Rd. Cary, IL. A service for Jackie will follow at 11:00am. Burial will take place following the service at the Cary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Journey Care Hospice or Three Oaks Assisted Living.
