Henri (Hank) Kapelle died peacefully at home on February 9th, 2021 in Cary, IL at the age of 70.

Hank is survived by his wife, Janet (Jan) Kapelle (nee Papastefan), his daughters Carolyn Anderson (nee Kapelle) and Melissa Kapelle, his grandchildren Eve, Alison, and Jason, and his siblings Monica Kapelle, Evelyn Kapelle, and Robert Kapelle. He was proceeded in death by his parents Helmut and Suzanne Kapelle (nee Krebs) of Schaumburg, IL.

Hank was born on March 18th, 1950 in Freden, Germany to Helmut and Suzanne Kapelle. He married his high school sweetheart, Jan, in 1971. He graduated from the Tool and Die Institute of Illinois. Hank worked as a tool and die maker for Prospect Engineering and Kenmode prior to working for Pace as a bus driver.

Due to the pandemic, the funeral services will be private. He will be laid to rest on February 12th, 2021 at Windridge Cemetery in Cary, IL in the field of honor. A celebration of life memorial will be arranged at a future date.
