Gwen Parker

Gwen Parker, age 80 of Fox River Grove passed away early on May 2, 2021 at her home.  She was born May 13, 1940 in Durham in the north of England.

       She is survived by her son David Parker and is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Parker.

       Gwen worked with her husband, Thomas Parker in the business they owned for many years, Parker Millwork Inc. in Cary.  She also went on to work at Sparrow’s Nest in Cary for some years.  After leaving England Gwen spent time in Singapore and Hong Kong before settling in the United States.  She was an amazing mom and human being.

       There will be a visitation for Gwen on Friday, May 7, 2021 beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding with a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital.
