Gregory W. Etters

Gregory W. Etters, age 59, of Cary, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2018 at home with his family by his side after a courageous 13 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.He was born on May 1, 1959, the son of Leslie and Dixie Etters of Barrington, IL.Greg married Julie Stratford on November 27, 1986. In the years to follow they welcomed 3 daughters to their family. He was a beloved and devoted husband, father, son and grandpa. Together they loved spending family vacations in Marco Island, FL and taking cruises. Greg is survived by his loving wife, Julie, his daughters: Jaclyn (Dennis) Chaves, Ashley (Kyle) Goebel and Katie (Thomas) Flynn, his mother Dixie Etters, 6 grandchildren: Logan, Reid, Kennedy, Harper, Riley and Emma, and his four siblings and many cousins.He is preceded in death by his father Leslie.There will be a visitation for Greg on Saturday, December 22, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM and concluding with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Rd., Cary, interment will be private for the immediate family.In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in support of Team Papa Etters to the Pancreatic Cancer Network, which can be found at https://bit.ly/2EylWPo To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Gregory W.
