George Chase Obituary

George Earl Chase, age 78 of Fox River Grove passed away February 1, 2021 at his home. He was born July 8, 1942 in Moline, IL. The son of George Edwin and Gladys Chase, they precede him in death.

George is survived by his wife Linnea (Carlson) Chase, his children: George Everett Chase, Elizabeth (Frank) Caccamo and Carl (Bernadette) Chase as well as his siblings: Wayne (Cynthia) Chase, Steve (Linda) Chase and Lyla (Rick) Fogal.

George graduated from Moline High School and went on to Augustana College in Rock Island. He went on with his grad studies and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign and Illinois State in Bloomington where he received his teaching degree. He then went on to a 36-year teaching career in School District 26 at River Trails Junior High School in Mount Prospect. George was an avid camper, traveler, reader, gardener and animal lover.
