Frances Marie Zbiegien, of Wauconda, IL, better known as Fran to those who loved her, was a woman who lived a life filled with laughter, love, and resilience. Born on April 12, 1945, in Chicago, IL, she spent her life imparting wisdom, humor, and love to her family and friends. Although her earthly journey ended on June 2, 2026, at the age of 81, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

Fran was the epitome of a supportive and loving individual, with a knack for spreading joy wherever she went. She was known for her funny quips and her ability to turn a mundane day into a memorable one with her sunny disposition. She was a loyal friend, always looking out for her loved ones, and a devoted mother who taught her children the value of hard work and the importance of family. Despite life's challenges, Fran always made the best of every situation, her infectious laughter and warmth making everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.

In her professional life, Fran was a dedicated bank teller at Harris Bank, retiring in 2005. Her love for her community extended beyond her profession, as she found joy in gardening, crafting, and scrapbooking, hobbies that allowed her to share her creativity and love for life with others.

Fran is survived by her children, Brian, Jennifer, and Jason (Helena) Kedrok; her brother, Michael Zbiegien; her sister-in-law, Celeste; and her grandchildren, Lilah, Brody, Braelynn, and Lanie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Cecilia (née Balachowski) Zbiegien; brother, Joseph Kozel; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Rose M Zbiegien; brothers Stanley and Leonard Zbiegien; sister-in-law, Rose A Zbiegien; and her ex-husband, Kenneth Kedrok.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary, IL 60013.

Mass will be at 11:00am, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 N. First Street, Cary, IL 60013. Fr. Akin Simon will be officiating.

Interment to follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, 8600 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, IL 60714.
