Frances (Fran) Anna Colditz 79 of Huntley, IL, passed away peacefully in Algonquin, IL Tuesday, July 23, 2024.  Fran was born to Joseph and Ruby Dorn in Oshkosh, WI on June 1, 1945.

Fran is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Colditz Sr., son, Joseph Colditz Jr. (Susan), nieces, Lynn Beck (Scott) & Pamela Colditz, and nephew, Lyle Dorn Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ruby Dorn, brother, Lyle Dorn Sr. (Lyla), and niece, Elaine Lonergan (Bill).

Professionally, Fran dedicated many years of service to the A.C. Nielsen Company, working both in their Chicago and Northbrook locations.  Throughout much of her life she enjoyed traveling, downhill skiing, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at KAHLE-MOORE FUNERAL HOME OF CARY 403 Silver Lake Rd with interment at WINDRIDGE MEMORIAL PARK immediately following. 

If preferable, non-floral remembrances in the form of contributions to a dementia research organization, such as the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org), may be made in Fran’s name.
