Faye Pahlke Obituary

Faye Pahlke, 93, died at JourneyCare Care Center in Barrington on November 30, 2021.

She was born on November 12, 1928 in Beacon Hill Michigan to Isaac and Hilia (Johnson) Keteri.

Faye married Earl Pahlke on April 9, 1950 in Chassell Michigan. They made their home together in Fox River Grove for over 50 years and had two daughters, Pattie and Mary. She moved to Woodstock 6 years ago to live with her daughter Mary and her husband Tony.

Faye was an active member in the early years of St. Barnabas Church. She served as a Brownie leader for each of her daughters’ troops and in the 1970’s she helped create the Twilight Quorum Coffee House in Shady Hills. She was also an avid knitter who donated layettes to various charities and made ear warmers for her many nieces and friends.

Survivors include her daughters Pattie (Chuck) Schultz and Mary (Tony Guida); a grandson Charles Clayton Schultz; a great granddaughter, Victoria Faye Schultz; a brother Laurance (Virginia) Keteri; and many nieces and nephews.

Faye was predeceased by her parents; 6 sisters: Edie, Ethel, Judy, Bunni, Hazel and Sharon; and 2 brothers: George Hubert (Hubby) and Ralph Kenneth (Kenny).
