Emmarie Reed, age 81 of Janesville, formerly of Cary IL, passed away on October 17, 2024.  Born to Max and Emma Sinda on November 14, 1942, she married Douglas (Bill) Reed on November 18, 1961.  

Emmarie is survived by her children Mark (Marge) Reed, Melinda (Jim) Ruschke, grandchildren: Samantha (Reuben) Stark, Nicole (Tyler) Zaucha, Cody Ruschke, Eric (Julia) Ruschke, great grandchildren: Jacob, Jackson, Nolan, Daxon, Elliott, Lennon, Waylon and Lila.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bill.

Emmarie was a talented floral designer and ardent bird lover.  She found joy watching birds feed off her many outdoor feeders, as well as having two pet parakeets.

There will be a visitation for Emmarie at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Rd. Cary, on Friday, October 25th at 12:00 pm, concluding with a funeral service at 1:00 pm and followed by interment at Windridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Emmarie’s name would be to her church and former churches:  Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Cary, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Janesville, WI., or St. Matthews Evangelical Church, Crossville, TN.
