Elaine M. Easty, age 84 of Cary passed away December 15, 2022.  She was born June 6, 1938 in Cary, the daughter of Paul and Lucille (Storm) Knaack.  She married Clayton Easty on March 22, 1958 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

       Elaine is survived by her children:  Michael P. Easty, Michelle (Trey) Drougas, her grandchildren: Luke, Lucy and Leo Drougas, her sister Paulette Knaack, her nieces and nephew: Sandra (Ernie) Shorner, Dianne (Andrew) Hawkins, her great niece and nephew, Alexandra Hawkins and Connor Hawkins, and her brother-in-law Duane Schumacher. Besides her parents Elaine is preceded in death by her husband Clayton, and her sister Marlene Schumacher and nephew Robert Schumacher.

      Elaine attended Crystal Lake Community High School graduating in 1956.After working for 10 years at Illinois Bell she was a stay-home mom.  Elaine enjoyed sewing, crafts and gardening and her trips with Clay to northern Wisconsin.  She was a life-long member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she played organ and piano and taught Sunday School, she was a member of the L.W.M.L. and altar guild as well as singing in the choir and the bell-ringing group.  It cannot go without mentioning Elaine’s love of dogs, especially her Schnauzer’s Fritz and Misty.

       There will be a visitation for Elaine on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Rd., Cary, beginning at 10:00 AM and concluding with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM, this will be followed by interment at Windridge Memorial Park.
