Edith Elizabeth Salm Ford age 88 from 452 Valley View Rd, Lake Barrington Shores, Barrington, IL passed away peacefully Friday, September 3, 2021 at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington, Il. She was born on

January 20, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York and lived the majority of her life in Illinois. She worked at Oscar's Restaurant and Dominick's for many years until they both closed.

Edith loved entertaining with friends, playing cards and games, golf and bowling. Her spunky and sassy personality was endearing to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, long time companion Richard Schwankl and dear friend, Gene Herrala.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
