Douglas "Bill" Reed Obituary

Douglas W. “Bill” Reed, age 83 of Janesville, Wi., formerly of Cary passed away June 1, 2021.  He was born August 22, 1937 in Chicago, the son of William E. and Bernice Reed.


       Bill is survived by his wife Emmarie T. (Sinda) Reed, his children:  Mark (Marge) Reed and Melinda (James) Ruschke, his grandchildren:  Cody Ruschke, Eric Ruschke, Samantha (Reuben) Stark and Nicole (Tyler) Zaucha, his great grandchildren:  Jacob, Jackson and Nolan as well as his siblings:  Betty Roudebush and Ken (Joyce) Reed.


       Bill owned and operated Valley View Decorators in Cary for many years, he was past-president and 45-year member of the Cary Lions Club, he was a trustee for many years at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and served his country for six years in the Army Reserve.  Bill loved to fish and was an avid Chicago Bear fan.


       There will be a visitation for Bill on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Rd. Cary beginning at 10:00 AM and concluding with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM and will be followed with interment at Windridge Memorial Park where military honors will be accorded.  In lieu of flowers memorials in Bill’s name would be appreciated to a charity of one’s choice.  Visit kahlemoore.com to express condolences.
