Douglas John Dishinger, age 59, of Cary, IL, passed away on May 28, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born August 12, 1965 in Chicago, IL to his loving parents, Conrad and Doris (née Will) Dishinger.

Doug was a kind-hearted man whose warmth and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. A devoted family man, Doug cherished time spent with loved ones and was never happier than when surrounded by them—along with his beloved pets. His special bond with his dog Champ was unmistakable, a true companionship that brought him daily joy.

Doug found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He took pride in his welding job, and enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks, riding mini-bikes, and indulging in his favorite treats—candy and Lou Malnati’s pizza. His creativity also shone through in his passion for welding and making art, where he found both expression and fulfillment.

Doug's absence leaves a deep void, but his family holds tight to the countless memories of laughter, love, and quiet moments shared. He will be greatly missed, and always remembered with love.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Doris Dishinger; sister, Patricia Ausloos; and brother, Paul Dishinger. He is survived by his wife, Wendy; daughters, Amanda and Jessica; grandson, Jabari; siblings, Gerald (Stephanie Baruch) Dishinger, Connie Hall, Carol Bock, and Ann Dishinger; in-laws, James & Carol Hoover, James (Katie) Hoover, Christy (Christian) Vates, and Carrie (Drew) Davies; his beloved dog, Champ; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Interment will be private.
