Donna J. (Glenicki) Lappen

Donna Jean Lappen, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2022.  She was born on October 2, 1941 to Warren and Marie (Berntsen) Glenicki.  Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband James Lappen and her second husband Leroy Pavis.

She is survived by her children Teri (Bill) Doran, Kris (Jack) Thune, Scott Lappen and Leslie Lappen, her stepdaughters Jan Pavis and Vicki Pavis and her daughter-in-law Julie Gunther.  Donna is also survived by her grandchildren Allison, Sean and Meghan Doran, Alec and Teagan Thune, Haley Hansen, Samantha, Ellie and Rachel Lappen and great granddaughter Zenya Hansen.  She is survived by sisters Lois (Mike) Waltz and Nancy (Lee) Nordgren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Donna enjoyed gardening, sewing and driving her golf cart, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She will always be remembered for her spirited personality, her unique outlook on life and her resilience when dealing with life’s challenges.

There will be a visitation for Donna on January 7, 2023 at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding with a service at 3:00 PM. Visit kahlemoore.com to express condolences.
