Diane Marie (Etters) Albano, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully in Crystal Lake, Illinois, on October 10, 2024. Born on December 21, 1947, in Elgin, Illinois, Diane’s witty sense of humor and easy-going personality brought joy and laughter to the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Diane dedicated her life to her family, taking immense joy in attending her children’s and grandchildren’s’ sporting events. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Chicago Cubs, a dedicated lifelong member of St. Anne’s Catholic Parish in Barrington, IL, and enjoyed bowling with her girlfriends. Her favorite place to spend time with family and friends was Spooner, WI where she enjoyed boating, skiing, fishing and relaxing on the beach. 
She is survived by her children: Amie Albano and Thomas Albano (Caitlin Kelley). Her stepchildren: Brian Albano (Debbie Albano) and Heather McDuff (Lance McDuff). Her siblings: Judith Albano and Skip Etters. Diane was a proud grandma to A’Ja, Victor, Ava, Emerson, and Iyla Albano. Her legacy of warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all. 
Diane was proceeded in death by her husband Thomas J Albano, her parents Earl and Viola Etters, and her siblings: Dave Etters and Elaine Schuth. Her caring and selfless nature made her a cherished and irreplaceable part of her family and community.
Diane will be remembered for her endless love and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
There will be a visitation for Diane on Thursday, October 17, 2024 beginning at 9:30 AM and concluding with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St., Barrington.  Burial to follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.  In lieu of flowers memorials in Diane's name would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association.
