Deborah L. (Neel) Sund

Deborah “Debby” L. Sund, age 72 of Cary, passed away November 9, 2022.  She was born July 28, 1950 in Libertyville, IL., She is the daughter of Junior and Margaret (nee Wallenwein) Neel.

Debby is survived by her children: Angela (Todd) Guibord, Earl (Beth) Sund, Jr., Scot (Julie) Sund and Joann (Jeff) Wolski, her grandchildren:  Andrew Guibord, Matthew Guibord, Matllyn Sund, Ethan Sund, Kenny Sund, Hannah Sund, Theo Sund, Shelby Wolski, Jeff Wolski and Colton Wolski as well as her siblings:  Joan (Glenn) Anderson and the late Bob (Connie) Neel, She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Eric “Ricky” Sund, and her husband, Earl A. Sund.

Debby was proud of her job as the Road Commissioner of Oakwood Hills. Debby was a big fan of the Cubs and Bears and cheered them through thick and thin. She was also closely involved with Cary Youth Baseball. Debby also had an entrepreneurial spirit, owning and operation Jarse Ceramics in Crystal Lake. In her free time, you could often find her at flea markets looking for collectables or at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin. According to her, the greatest accomplishment of her life is her grandchildren.

 Visitation will be held on Sunday November 20, 2022. From 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM at Kahle-Moore Funeral home 403 Silver Lake Rd Cary, IL. A time to share memories will be had at 12:30 PM. Deborah will be laid to rest at Windridge Memorial Park.
