Daniel J. Pope age 73 of Cary, passed away July 3, 2024 at Good Shepherd Hospital.  He was born March 30, 1951 in Thacker, West Virginia, the son of Creed and Dorothy Pope.
      Dan is survived by his wife Susan Pope, a daughter Kelly Zeek and granddaughter Mikayla Charvat..
      Dan was one of 12 children:  Rush Pope, Jim Pope, Creed Pope, Jr., Lucille Trippett, Patsy Childress, Virginia Spencer, Mary Chapman, Shirley Koske, Gary "PeeWee" Pope, Alice Layne and Donna Workman, 3 half-brothers  Raymond, Roby and Homer.  There were three infant girls who passed away in infancy.
       There will be a visitation for Dan on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, Cary.  Funeral Service Wednesday, July 10th at 10:30 AM at the funeral home and will be followed by burial at Windridge Memorial Park.
