Corrine Lillian Schnidt, a cherished matriarch, and beacon of spirituality and love, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, in Fox River Grove, Illinois, on February 3, 2025, at the age of 97, Born on May 2, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, to Martha and Albin Kallman, Corrine's life was a testament to resilience, love and the enduring strength of family.
Corrine, affectionately known by those old enough to remember, as Corky, lived a life marked by a deep commitment to her family and home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas John Schnidt Sr., her loving sons, Thomas John Jr. and Kenneth Charles Sr., and cherished grandchildren, Tracy, Nancy and Anthony who remain forever in our hearts.
Despite these losses, Corrine's unwavering spirit and nurturing heart remained the cornerstone of her family's lives.
A devoted mother, she is survived by her children, David Lee (Kristy) Schnidt, Diane Lee (Kenneth) Russell and daughter-in-law Becky Schnidt, wife of the late Kenneth Charles Schnidt Sr.
Corrine's legacy is carried on through her grandchildren, Karan (Bob), Bob (Beth)husband of the late Tracy, Kenny Jr., Tommy, Christopher and Keaton, as well as her great-grandchildren, Chuck (Brittany), Joe (Alex), Aimee, Ronnie (Kelsey), Brenden (Perie), Ricky and Araya, as well as great-great-grandchildren, Kyle, Charlie, Logan, Bryson, Mason, Paisley, Edward, Layla and Lylah.
Beloved Godmother to Colleen, Fur Mama to Rizzo and favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews, each of them was touched by her grace, wisdom and the unconditional love she so freely gave.
Corrine was the last surviving sibling of her family, preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth, Joan, Jean and her favorite brother, Charles (Chuck). She was a treasured connection to the past for her family.
Throughout her life, Corrine was a pillar of strength and a source of joy to those around her. Her positive attitude was contagious, her advice was sought after, and her home was always open to friends and family. The holidays were particularly special for Corrine, as she reveled in the joy of her family coming together, the sound of laughter filling her home and the making of cherished memories.
Corrine's journey through life was a reflection of her enduring faith, her belief in the goodness of people, and her commitment to living a life of purpose and love. She approached each day with a sense of gratitude and a determination to make a positive impact on those around her.
As we say goodbye to Corrine Lillian Schnidt, we celebrate a life well-lived, a matriarch dearly loved, and a legacy that will continue to inspire. Her memory will be held close in the hearts of all who knew her, and her influence will live on through the countless lives she touched.

A celebration of life will be held at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, Cary, IL, on Saturday February 15th, from 3pm to 7pm, with a service at 7pm
