Collin passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2023 at the age of 43. Collin was born on November 10, 1979 to Kenneth and Kathleen Schaeffer in Eureka, SD.

Collin graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in Garner, IA in 1998. He enjoyed many sports and activities throughout his high school career. Collin went to college at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He graduated with a Bachelors in Public Health and Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Collin married his college sweetheart, Amber, on June 9, 2006 in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. Collin and Amber were blessed with long awaited twins on September 15, 2012. Evan Lee and Ella Rose, age 10, were adored and loved by Collin. Collin was incredibly proud of everything Evan and Ella accomplished. One of his greatest loves in life was watching his children participate in sports, dance or other activities.

Collin is survived by his beautiful children, Evan and Ella; parents Kenneth and Kathleen; brother Chad (Molly); and nieces and nephews. Collin is further survived by other family and friends. Collin was preceded in death by his grandparents Floyd and Alvina Schaeffer and grandparents Ralph and Donna Jean Schwartz.

While no formal services will be held, Collin’s ashes will be spread in a meaningful location to the family in Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to Collin’s children’s education or can be directed to the charity of your choice in Collin’s name.
