Carol A. (Lackey) Czaplewski

Carol A. Czaplewski, age 71, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 18, 2022.  She was born June 22, 1951 in Chicago to Frank and Elaine Lackey.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ken.

Carol is survived by her husband Ron of 49 years, children Amy (Paul) Goske, Debbie (Ed) Vale, Cindy (fiancée Larry Peterson) Green, and Mike (Laura).  Carol is also survived by her grandchildren Paul and Ben Goske; Bryan, Olivia and Brooke Vale; Caleb and Alyssa Green; and Nathan Czaplewski.  She is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Carol was a caring mother and close friend to all her children.  Carol deeply loved all her grandchildren and playing with them just made her shine with happiness.

Carol cherished her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed her numerous vacations, family gatherings, friends, shopping, dancing, concerts in the park and yard work.  She loved her many animals and spoiled them continuously.  Her favorite memories were her many family vacations to Florida and Disney World.  She enjoyed relaxing at the pool, the Disney atmosphere and playing games in the evening.  She also enjoyed her annual vacations to Branson Missouri to just relax and see the local entertainment.  She especially enjoyed entertaining her family at the many gatherings and traveling to visit with the families, playing with grandchildren, watching the grandchildren’s sporting events and just having a good time laughing with a cocktail in hand.  In her mid 50’s, Carol started college to become a pre-school teacher while working as a teacher’s aid.  She excelled in college and took a teacher position in a Lutheran pre-school where she was well regarded.  Carol loved teaching small children, influencing them and giving them a positive experience.  Carol was always fun loving and caring with everyone, a life of the party and just a joy to be around.  Carol will be greatly missed by many and will be remembered with many stories of what she added to everyone’s life.

A Funeral Mass will be offered for Carol on Saturday January 14, 2023 at 10:00AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 401 First Street, Cary IL and will be followed by a luncheon in the adjacent Church Gathering Room to remember her.   All are invited.
