Carmen V. Ruiz, 88 years old of Cary Illinois passed away on November 25, 2020.  She was born on August 10, 1932.  She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 36 years Alexander Ruiz Sr. (1930-1989), parents Pedro and Maria Velasquez and five siblings (Rosemary, Peter, Frank, Robert and Paul).  Loving sister to David Velasquez.  She was the loving mother to seven children, Alexander Ruiz Jr, deceased (Toni), Anita Dziwulski (John), Richard Ruiz, Carmen Espinosa, Paul Ruiz, Sara Vickers (Chuck) and Rebecca Johnson.  Grandmother to 13 grandchildren (Peter, Alex, Nicole, Jennifer, Julia, Joanna, Paul, Tony, Alex, Stephen, Rebecca, Jacob and Samantha), Great Grandmother to 10, great great grandmother to 1 and aunt to many nieces and nephews.  In her younger years, Carmen loved spending hours in her garden and painting ceramics but her real life passion was her faith and family.

Due to Covid restrictions, we are limited to only immediate family.  At a later date we will have a memorial service and celebration of life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “Voices Against Brain Cancer”, an organization important to the family.
