Barbara Chisholm, age 82 of Cary, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Campbell Chisholm, Jr. and together they had three children - Janet Chisholm (Joe Armistead), Karen Thomason (Phillip Thomason), and David Chisholm and two grandchildren Seth and Sara Thomason. She was preceded in death by her sister Joan Fowley and brother Kenny Cole. 
Barb grew up in Chicago and her and Cam were married there. They later moved to Cary and lived there most of their lives. Barb and Cam spent many years square dancing together and some line dancing. They also enjoyed many adventures camping across the United States, visiting state parks, biking with the bike club, hanging with the Goodtimers social club, and taking an occasional fun trip to the casino to get out of town. 
Barb was a beloved Mom and adored by her three children and two sons-in-law. She touched many lives and had many dear friendships. She had a love of croqueting and quilting and made many special quilts for family and friends which were a labor of love for her. She will be dearly missed and we remember her as someone who loved nature and the outdoors. Her wishes were not to have a traditional funeral, and to instead have her ashes be spread at one of her favorite places at a state park in Wisconsin that the family spent many summers camping, swimming, hiking and playing at.
