Arlene L. McNeil, a beacon of warmth and compassion, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, at Good Shepherd Hospital, near her long-time home in Fox River Grove, Illinois. Born on February 9, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Arlene's life was a tapestry of love, service, and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life.



Predeceased by her beloved first husband, William (Bill) McNeil, Arlene found love again and is survived by her devoted husband, Phillip Janikowski. She was a cherished mother to her sons, Jeffrey and Timothy McNeil, whose lives are a testament to her nurturing spirit and boundless affection.



Arlene's presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured in the hearts of her family and friends. As we bid farewell to Arlene, we celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and the gentle grace with which she lived every day. There will be a visitation for Arlene on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.
