Angelo A. Siciliano Obituary

Angelo “Tony” A. Siciliano, age 89, of Long Grove, IL, passed away on July 26, 2025. He was born July 11, 1936 in Chicago, IL to his loving parents, Santo and Lucille (née Lucero) Siciliano.

Tony graduated from Austin High School and went on to earn an associate degree in engineering—a foundation for a lifelong career marked by ingenuity and leadership. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958, reaching the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged. After his service, Tony built a distinguished career in manufacturing, rising to the role of Vice President, while also serving in various engineering and security positions.

For 67 years, Tony shared a remarkable marriage with Patricia, the love of his life. Together, they built a family rooted in devotion, family, and faith. A deeply committed Catholic, Tony was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Crystal Lake, where he served well. He received a healing from cancer while in his 40's through the intersession of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. And, in a dream where Saint Elizabeth asked him to build a shrine to her in his backyard, he responded by heading up the constructing of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church in Crystal Lake on a site that was near their backyard.

Tony could fix anything and knew how things worked. A master of most trades, he shared his knowledge and skills with family and friends that needed help. He was a long time Scoutmaster, and a good friend - the kind that could save your life. He had a dry sense of humor and a wicked quick wit.

An avid fisherman, Tony especially loved catching largemouth bass and often served as a fishing guide. He would kiss each fish before releasing it back into the water—and had a reputation as the 'Kissing Fisherman' on Table Rock Lake in Arkansas where he and Pat live for 30 years and made many friends, and where Tony served as a Fireman and First Responder.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his wife Patricia, his children, grandchildren, extended family, and the many lives he touched.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; beloved son, Michael; and two miscarried sons, Paul and Christopher. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (née Leonard) Siciliano; children, Thomas (Suzi) Siciliano, Donald (Julie) Siciliano, Terri (Tim) Ashley and Zanetta Siciliano; sister, Sylvia Netzel; grandchildren, Luke, Leila (Jason) Martina, Anthony, Abigail, Daniel, Anna (Russel) Acton, Siena, Sofia; 6 great-granddaughters; nephew, Bobby Siciliano, niece, Kathy (Ted) Grove; and nephew, Kurt (Sue) Netzel; and many cousins.

A memorial will be held from 10:00am until funeral mass at 11:00am, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 North First Street, Cary, IL 60013. Fr. Robert Camacho will be officiating.
