Aida was born on December 18, 1946 to William and Aida Hernandez in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. Aida’s family moved to New York, then Chicago. She found her soulmate Ray while working as a secretary at Zenith Television in Chicago. They married in 1968 and moved to the suburbs, where they had two children and three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Aida and Ray were married for 53 years.
Aida worked at Baxter for 17 years and made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed painting and glazing ceramics, crocheting blankets and scarves, playing dominoes, and reading mystery novels. She had a great sense of humor and had loved to laugh.
Aida was predeceased by her parents, her sister Miriam, and her husband Reynold Palma. She is survived by her children Renee and Anthony, and her grandchildren Cira, Owen, and Emily.
