Agnes M. Dvorak

Agnes Marie Dvorak, 98, a lifelong resident of Cary, died September 23, 2021.

She was born March 11, 1923, to the late Robert and Helen (Suchy) Dvorak in Spring Lake, IL (now called Barrington, IL) in a home built by her great-grandfather, Karel Dvorak, a Czech immigrant.

Agnes attended St. Peter & Paul Catholic grade school (Cary, IL) and Crystal Lake Central High School graduating in 1941.

Her work career started at Chicago Northwestern Railroad then she moved into banking. Agnes worked at Cary State Bank and retired from First National Bank of Chicago in 1984.  She cherished the friendships she made during her career keeping in contact with many of her friends till her death.

Agnes was an active volunteer for St. Peter & Paul Church and helping those in need. She also enjoyed traveling to Europe and throughout the States.  

Most of all, Agnes adored and loved her family. She took great pride in her Czech heritage being the genealogist for the family bringing extended family together.

(Joanne) Dvorak; Richard (Mary Lou) Dvorak; and Paul J. (Carol) Dvorak.  24 nieces/nephews: Terrence(late Patsy) Dvorak; Rita (Greg) Dubas; Robert (Sherie) Dvorak; Donna Ireland; Brian Dvorak; Dianne (late Alvin) Gilbert; Ed (Theresa) Dvorak; Dr. William S. (Laurie) Dvorak;   Mark R. (Debbie) Dvorak;  David D. Dvorak; Susan E. (late Berlyn) Yazzie; Mike (Deborah) Dvorak; Rick Dvorak; John (Nancy) Dvorak; Maribeth (Bob) Huebner; Tom (Sheila) Dvorak; Anne Dvorak; Peggy (Bill) Gigliotti; Gretchen (Tim) Sampson; Carmella (Doug) Dobler; Paul Dvorak; Joe (Jody) Dvorak; Karen (Mike) Funk; Kathryn (Frank Arico) Nickolas; 47 great nieces/nephews; 55 great-great nieces/nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert, Don, Vernon, Richard, Charles; her sister-in-laws Audrial, Jo, Rilla, Mary Lou; nephew David D. Dvorak and her parents.

Agnes lived a full, active life to the end.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary, IL.  The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at St. Peter & Paul Church, 410 N. First Street, Cary, IL.

Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Fox River Grove, IL.  Memorial contributions may be made in Agnes’ memory to SS Peter & Paul Church.
