Roland E. Farrar

Roland E. Farrar, age 82 of Mesa, AZ formerly of Island Lake passed away September 15, 2018. He was born June 5, 1936 in Suring, WI, the son of Edgar and Margery Farrar. Roland is survived by his wife Nancy Poffenbarger, his children: Roderick Farrar, Russel (Jean) Farrar, Richard Farrar and Robi (Cynthia) Farrar. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as his siblings: Kenrick Farrar, Randy Farrar, Terry (Beth) Farrar, Marvel (Richard) Sanders, Leila (Doug) Gartshore. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Rikiko Farrar and two sisters Dawn Brown and Luella Whiting. Roland owned and operated Rollie's Save More Service Station and Rollie's Auto Sales, both in Island Lake. He was a scout leader for many years for Boy Scout Troop 76 and had the pleasure of taking two scout troops to Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM. There will be a visitatioin for Roland on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver lake Rd., Cary. Funeral Service's will be held on Saturday, September 29th at 10:00 at the funeral home and will be followed with burial at Windridge Memorial Park.
