Norma Huffstutler Obituary

Norma Lee Huffstutler passed away quietly in her sleep on 2/17/2017. She was born on May 17, 1925. She was a beloved pastor's wife of Murvel for 71 years, mother, Sunday school teacher and teacher's aide. As a Sunday School teacher she often said, "No child would ever come into her nursery without hearing the name of Jesus, even if the child was a newborn." As a teacher's aide, she taught special needs children and preschoolers during many years of service. She had a sharp wit and a delightful sense of humor and was dearly loved by family, friends and all of the people who cared for her in her last days. She is survived by her husband Murvel Huffstutler, her sons Gary Huffstutler, and Robert Gayle Huffstutler (April nee Ainlay); Her grandchildren (Kristine (David) Ensor), Holly Huffstutler, Jessica Huffstutler, Brenda Huffstutler (Kevin Wingert), Michelle Huffstutler and Michael Huffstutler; her sister Betty Arnold; her great grandchildren Eric Hester, Andrew Hester, Timothy Hester, Patrick Hester and Avery Wingert; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Leona (Goddard) Davis, her brother Noel and her sisters Wilma Ruth Highsmith, and Faye Reynolds. She now resides in her own personal mansion in the sky. In her case it will be a mansion sorely in need of redecorating with lots and lots of gardens, just as would want it. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched and who loved her a "bushel and a peck".
