Lois Verseman, age 90 of Cary passed away May 26, 2017 at the Springs in Crystal Lake. She was born March 11, 1927 in Bensenville, Il. the daughter of Wal;ter and Martha (Jungemann) Gerth. Lois married Milton Verseman on August 13, 1949, he precedes her in death. Lois retired from School District 47 in Crystal Lake where she worked 27 years as an administrative secretary. She was very active in Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed bowling, golf, and playing pinochle and dominoes with her friends. Lois enjoyed gardening and volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Shop and Food Pantry. She was best known for all her many travels around the world and her famous Grandma Lois coffee cake. She is survived by her children: James (Amy), Jerry (Barbara), Dan (Laurie), Kathy (Doug) Krenz and Tom (Kelly), her grandchildren: Matt, Luke (Lynn), Rick (Marie), Erica (Erick), Heidi (Andy), Ryan Jared (Sasha), Meredith (Kris), Karlyn (Josh), Kylee (Kyle) and 8 great grandchildren as well as a brother Raymond. There will be a Visitation for Lois beginning at 10:00 AM and concluding with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 178 McHenry Av., Crystal Lake, Il.
