John F. Sandberg

John F. Sandberg, age 79 of Crystal Lake passed away October 6, 2016. He was born August 16, 1937 in Chicago, the son of Albert and Mary Sandberg, Sr. John is survived by his wife of 59 years Barbara (Frey) Sandberg, his children: Mike (Jolene) Sandberg, Kim (Dave) Roche, Dan (Kelly) Sandberg and David (Brenda) Sandberg, his grandchildren: Kristen (Matt) Brand, Michael Roche, Danielle (Jeff) Grossnickle, Cole Sandberg, Jeffrey Sandberg and David Bottke. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Jean Sandberg and a brother Albert Sandberg, Jr. Most recently John worked at the Ace Hardware in Crystal Lake for 15 years, he had formerly worked for High School District 155 and owned and operated Sandberg Home Services. He was very passionate about his personal care ministry and his weekends camping with Barbara. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, October 12th at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 410 First St., Cary. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to a charity of one's choice.
